A Decade + of Scoot

1999 - 2010

Originally a 10-piece band, Scoot on Down first took the stage as Muskat 'n' Funk (a Chicago™ Tribute band) on May 15th, 1999 at the annual Lafayette Township Day Celebration.

New songs added some variety to the Chicago™ heavy set list as Muskat 'n' Funk announced the name change to Scoot On Down and rocked Jefferson Day on July 10th, 1999. 

The band re-formed later that year with a simple mission... play music not normally heard live anymore.  From Chicago and James Brown to Hughes Corporation and the Jackson Five.  From the Eurythmics and Midnight Oil to Reel Big Fish and Bon Jovi... Nothing was off-limits and the band quickly discovered that "Everything's Better With Horns!"
